Current Work

Victor is the Site Director of GBHI at UCSF and a geriatrician at the Memory and Aging Center at UCSF, where he cares for older patients with cognitive disorders and directs international studies on dementia. His research focuses on the impact of HIV on brain function and international capacity development.

Victor is passionate about collaborating with people around the world to create solutions, foster connections and identify funding streams for their great work.

Motivation

In his role as Executive Director, Victor works to position GBHI as a leader in global brain health. He works with our Atlantic Senior Fellows as they return to their home communities to leverage GBHI and the Atlantic Fellows programs for our collective success in GBHI's mission.

Education & Experience

Victor received his undergraduate degree in education and medical degree from the University of Vermont in the United States. He completed training in internal medicine, geriatric medicine and behavioral neurology. For his international research on HIV, he received a PhD from the University of Amsterdam in 2013.
