Claire is an assistant professor of nutrition and ageing research at Queen's University Belfast, as well as an American Federation for Aging Research Beeson Scholar. She is investigating the role of diet in brain aging and dementia.

Motivation
The prevalence of dementia is rapidly increasing in Northern Ireland. Public health research is critical to identify strategies that can optimize healthy aging and prevent or delay dementia in later life.
Claire worked as an NHS dietitian for 10 years before receiving her MPhil (2008) and PhD (2012) degrees in Human Nutrition from Queen's University Belfast.
