Neuropsychologist
To reduce the impact of dementia, we must improve primary prevention in health policies and improve the general brain health status of the population.
Anna is a Neuropsychologist focused on Alzheimer's disease prevention at the Barcelonabeta Brain Research Center (BBRC) in Barcelona, Spain.

To reduce the scale and impact of dementia, Anna believes we need to include primary prevention in health policies and improve the general brain health status of the population.
Anna is studying the efficacy of remote cognitive tests in cognitively unimpaired individuals to identify those at risk of Alzheimer's disease. This will contribute to promote equity and to reduce disparities in dementia prevention.
As an Atlantic Fellow, Anna translates her research expertise to global equity in brain health. Combined with her GBHI mentorship, this allows her to focus her career in narrowing existing gaps in health care equity and reduce disparities in dementia prevention.
The high prevalence of Alzheimer's disease (AD) makes it crucial to improve the early identification of individuals at higher risk of cognitive decline that could benefit from their participation in dementia prevention interventions to reduce or delay the onset of AD.
