An Evening of Music, Art, and Community for Maria Fernanda Rico

Event Details

Join Atlantic Fellow Laura María Calderón Cuevas (2023) for a special evening of live music and visual art in support of an important cause. Maria Fernanda, a 20-year-old woman from Colombia, has been in a coma for several months following a multi-car crash in Stockton, California. Her family is working tirelessly to bring her back home to Colombia. To support her recovery, a Benefit Concert will be held, featuring musical performances and an art gallery sale showcasing works by various artists, including members of the GBHI community.

The event will feature performances by Laura, Camellia Latta, and other talented musicians, alongside an art exhibition by Atlantic Fellows Verónica Rojas (2022), Luis Martinez (2021), and Rodney Kiggundu (2024).

You can learn more about the cause through Laura's Univision interview (Spanish) and a CBS news segment (English).
