Your Employment Contract
All new residential Atlantic Fellows, faculty and staff members will be issued with a contract of employment before commencing employment. The contract of employment will set out all terms and conditions of employment. If you have any queries on your contract, please contact the Recruitment Team in the Human Resources Department www.tcd.ie/hr/resourcing/team. Employees are required to return a signed and dated contract of employment to Human Resources before they can be set up on Payroll and start work in the University. Signed contracts should be returned to: Human Resources, House 4, Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin, Dublin 2, Ireland or via email (hr@tcd.ie).
Salary
The gross salary indicated in your contract is subject to taxation and other deductions. If you are unfamiliar with the Irish taxation system, it is recommended you consult: www.tcd.ie/hr/payroll-services/new-employees in addition to the Citizen’s Information and Revenue websites. Salary payments are paid by bank transfer on approximately the 20th day of the month for the full calendar month. Employments commencing after the 10th day of the month will not be paid until the following month. Salary must be paid by bank transfer into a Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) bank account. Pay slips can be viewed/downloaded using the Core Portal.
Probation
Each Atlantic Fellow, staff and faculty member at GBHI participate in probation reviews. For fellows and staff, probation reviews take place at four and eight months after starting. More information about this process can be found here.
Working Hours
Each fellow is required to keep the below office hours. If you require flexibility for working hours, please agree your schedule with your line manager and ensure your colleagues are informed (the absences calendar will need to be updated).
