Vision

She envisions a world where dementia is neither stigmatized nor isolating but accepted and supported. Her primary interest lies in promoting education about dementia, cognitive disorders, and brain health among both the medical community and the broader public. She is particularly focused on young-onset dementia and post-diagnostic care. Her goal is to eliminate disparities in access to early diagnosis, improve management strategies, and enhance education and support, especially for patients with dementia and their families.

Strategy

Ula is striving to establish herself as a leader and advocate for people living with dementia and their care partners, particularly those experiencing symptom onset before the age of 65. At the same time, she is dedicated to educating the next generation of medical doctors in Poland. Additionally, she is actively involved in clinical trials aimed at discovering new solutions for individuals affected by dementia and neurodegenerative diseases..

Impact

As an Atlantic Fellow, Ula is excited about collaborating with the world-renowned researchers and peers (fellows) to learn about and translate approaches that make the situation in Poland better for people living with dementia and to extend brain health/prevent dementia.

Motivation

As a neurologist, Ula would like to use the networks of the Global Brain Health Institute to amplify equity in brain health in Poland.
