Sara is dedicated to creating and promoting accessible and safe living environments that accommodate the needs of people with dementia in diverse settings.
As an Atlantic Fellow, Sara aims to gain a broader understanding of the dementia-related challenges and solutions around the world and use her knowledge to contribute to solving issues in her region.
By fostering age and dementia friendly communities that promote social inclusion, Sara aims to bridge the gap people aging and living with dementia experience in Latin America and the world.
Sara received her medical school training at the Universidad Juarez del Estado de Durango and her training in Geriatrics at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de México, both in Mexico. Currently, she is working in Mexico City as a clinician and researcher.
