I aim to bring personal stories and GBHI research and activities to life to help raise dementia awareness and share knowledge that reduces its scale and impact worldwide.
Helen is responsible for leading communications activities that promote the mission and work of GBHI and the Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health.

Bringing people together
Helen is committed to using her communications skills, and scientific curiosity, to increase awareness and understanding of GBHI’s transformative work and research. She hopes that her contribution will help people with dementia live healthier, fairer and more rewarding lives.
Before joining GBHI, Helen was External Relations Manager in the School of Social Sciences and Philosophy at Trinity College Dublin where she led communications, fundraising, alumni and international activities. She has also held a number of senior communications and marketing roles, in the education, healthcare and technology sectors, in Dublin and San Francisco.

Helen obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology from Trinity College Dublin and a Postgraduate Diploma in Biotechnology from University College Cork. She also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Design Thinking at the Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT). Helen joined GBHI in December 2020.
