Director of Sesc Centro Histórico in Porto Alegre, Eduardo leads a team of 33 professionals providing health promotion services, benefiting around 1800 people. His main work and research focuses on promoting healthy aging.

Vision

Strategy
Eduardo leads physical activity, nutrition and education services, focusing on health promotion and prevention, seeking to provide opportunities for people of all ages to learn how to have a healthy lifestyle.
Impact
Eduardo wants to design a human aging reference center, where health education services will be offered, especially through physical activities and coexistence activities for the elderly, focusing on the modifiable risk factors for dementia.
Motivation
By offering health education services with physical activities and social activities, Eduardo hopes to combat loneliness, sedentary lifestyles and symptoms of depression that affect many elderly Brazilians and contribute to the growth of dementia.
Education & Experience
Eduardo completed his Masters degree in Human Aging in 2013, from the University of Passo Fundo. In 2020, he earned his Doctoral degree in Education from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Since 2004, Eduardo has researched and worked on the topics of human aging and health.
