Colin set up Ireland’s young onset dementia clinic in St James’s hospital and it remains the only clinic of its type in the country led by neurology. He handed the clinic over to his colleague Dr Siobhan Hutchinson in 2011 to take on a project to reorganize epilepsy care nationally which in the 21st century has seen a massive increase in diagnoses in the older patient.
