The dementia challenge is not tomorrow, it left yeseterday
One of the most frequent mistakes we make throughout our lives, especially in adolescence and early adulthood, is not listening to advice regarding our future. Advice related to saving, healthy living and planning tend to make little impact on us since we tend to be focused on the present, on immediate satisfaction.
It is not uncommon to hear the phrase "that is a problem for the me of tomorrow" , thinking that that threatening future will never reach us.
In the same way, the aging of the population and the management of dementias have been discussed, both at a personal and social level. Until recently this was considered a problem of the future, for which we had time to prevent and treat when the time came.
