Health and Wellbeing Services at UCSF
Be sure to take time outside of your rigorous schedule to enjoy campus life, and to enjoy San Francisco. Please find UCSF resources to support your health and well-being listed below.
Child Services
UCSF recognizes that family responsibilities profoundly affect your work and/or academic life. The Child Care Referral Service is designed to assist UCSF staff, faculty and students with their child care needs and questions. Our experienced counselor will guide you through the often challenging and time-consuming process of finding care and will help identify options that best meet your family’s needs. They provide referrals to licensed centers and licensed family child care homes in addition to information on after-school and summer programs and other related services. They also maintain a bulletin board of available nannies and sitters.
Campus Safety
The women and men of the UCSF Police Department are committed to making our campus a safe place for you to live, work, study and visit. They strongly believe in the principles of community policing, and have partnered with agencies throughout San Francisco to enhance the safety and quality of life at UCSF.
They also recognize that all members of the campus community share in the responsibility of maintaining our safe environment. To that end, below is a list of resource for your personal safety:
- Register for WarnMe in MyAccess to receive text or email notification of threads to public safety/health
- For emergencies: UCSF Police 9 + 911 (campus phone) or 415- 476-6911 (non-campus phone) San Francisco Police Department - 911 (off campus)
