The Canvas Within is a neuroscience-themed art show, featuring artwork submitted by individuals who work and study at UCSF! Artwork on display will include 2D, 3D, and digital formats. There will be prizes for participating artists, including a people’s choice award. Attendees will be able to participate in a raffle while enjoying light snacks and drinks.

Submissions of original, neuroscience-related art created by people from all departments at UCSF are encouraged. All creative forms of art are welcome – drawings, paintings, sculptures, jewelry, handcrafts, microscopy, music, poetry, and more. Please fill out this form if you are planning to submit art, even if the piece is not completed at this time.

There will also be a screening of Keys, Bags, Names, Words from 4-6 PM in the auditorium, with a panel discussion about creating age-friendly emergency rooms that will follow the screening.

Hosted by the UCSF Department of Neurological Surgery, Department of Neurology, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Memory and Aging Center, UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences and the Global Brain Health Institute.
